Recently, a delegation of ten persons, from the Japan Association for Study of Chinese Traditional Medicines (JASCTM) led by President Takefu, came to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to attend a ceremony to continue to study giant panda “Guan Yuan” by JASCTM. At the ceremony, Mr. Igarashi, new President of the organization, expressed its support and concern for the protection of giant pandas. It is the 12th year that JASCTM has continuously studied giant panda “Guan Yuan”. Such a persistent love inspires us to undertake the protection of giant pandas with more effort. After the ceremony, our staff accompanied the delegation to visit the panda cubs born in 2015. The children of the delegation were greatly surprised to see that a tiny panda cub in the nursery box would grow over 100 kg in the future. The members of the delegation posed many questions to our staff, and also praised the contribution of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to the giant panda protection undertaking.
