Early on the morning of July 26, Xiao Yatou, a nine-year-old female, successfully gave birth to male twins, the second pair of twins born at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in 2015.

As described by Wu Kongju, a giant panda expert and Deputy Director of the Animal Management Department, Xiao Yatou began reducing her intake of wowotou and bamboo regularly on June 25. During the day of July 25, she started such parturient signs as getting agitated, walking more frequently and licking her vulva. On July 26, she successfully delivered the first male cub at 06:18 and the second male cub at 07:16. Her elder cub weighs 138.2g and drinks 16.5g milk every day, and younger cub weighs 89.5g and drinks 15g milk every day. Until now, the two panda cubs are vivacious and healthy with all good body character indexes.

Xiao Yatou was born in 2006 and delivered female Xiao Qiao in 2012. Xiao Qiao is one of the famous “seven kids from kindergarten” at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The panda brothers born yesterday inherited the beauty of their mother, looking naive, cute and handsome. They will become the “fresh meat” and cute pets of global panda fans and netizens.
